At the beginning of 2019, Newsky Power delivered 50 sets of 60W integrated solar Led street lights to Niger. It integrates a highly reliable Grade A LiFePO4 lithium battery and intelligent self-develped MPPT controller, with 5 years warranty for the whole lighting. The anticorrosive die-casting aluminum housing is processed with stable powder painting, to ensure corrosion proof in the long run and passed the IP67 waterproof and anti-rust test.
The project aims to replace the existing stock of grid-based street lighting with off-grid and to provide constant lighting for streets in the rural areas. Currently, only a small part of the streets in Niger have street lights, which has been posing significant challenges in terms of safety, particularly for women and children who often walk to and from their places of work and study.
